Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 21, 2026

1. Introduction

LeadVibe LLC ("kenbun," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you visit our website or use our services.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

  • Contact information — name, email address, and company name when you join our waitlist or contact us.
  • Usage data — pages visited, time spent on our site, referring URLs, and other analytics data collected through cookies and similar technologies.
  • Device information — browser type, operating system, and IP address.
  • Lead data — behavioral and engagement data processed through our lead scoring platform on behalf of our customers, including page views, form submissions, email interactions, and other engagement signals from your customers' end users.
  • Chrome extension and prospect data — when you connect HubSpot to our Chrome extension ("kenbun Tagger"), we receive and store your HubSpot user email, HubSpot portal ID, portal domain, and extension installation identifier. We also record usage metrics such as the number of contacts you have imported through the extension and whether our behavioral beacon has been installed on your domain. This information is used to communicate with you about product updates, measure extension engagement, attribute conversions, and improve our services. See Section 14 for additional details specific to the Chrome extension.

3. Data Processor & Controller Roles

kenbun operates in two capacities depending on the context:

  • Data controller — when we collect and process your personal data directly (e.g., when you visit our website, join our waitlist, or contact us). We determine the purposes and means of processing this data.
  • Data processor — when we process end-user behavioral and engagement data on behalf of our customers. In this capacity, our customers are the data controllers and determine how their end users' data is used. We process this data only in accordance with our customers' instructions and applicable data processing agreements.

If you are an end user of one of our customers' websites, please refer to that customer's privacy policy to understand how your data is collected and used. For enterprise customers, we offer a Data Processing Agreement (DPA). Contact us at privacy@kenbun.com to request one.

We also act as a data controller for Chrome extension users who connect HubSpot, including users who are not existing kenbun customers. In this capacity, we process personal data for our own legitimate marketing and product-communication purposes, subject to the rights described in Section 9.

4. How We Use Your Information

We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Contractual necessity — to provide, maintain, and improve our services and fulfill our obligations to you.
  • Legitimate interest — to analyze usage patterns, improve our website and platform, and detect and prevent fraud or technical issues.
  • Consent — to communicate with you about product updates, waitlist status, and marketing, where required by law.
  • Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes.

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies on this website, grouped into three categories:

  • Strictly necessary — required for the site to function. This includes your theme preference (light/dark) and dismissal state for in-page banners. These are stored in your browser's localStorage and sessionStorage, are first-party, and are never used for analytics or marketing. They cannot be turned off.
  • Analytics — Google Tag Manager and any analytics tags it loads (for example Google Analytics). These help us understand which pages visitors view, where they come from, and how the site performs. They are loaded only after you grant consent.
  • Marketing / Profiling — our first-party behavioral beacon, which records anonymized session activity on kenbun.io (pages visited, link clicks, scroll depth, referrer, broad geo from IP) so our team can understand which content drives interest. The beacon is operated by kenbun on infrastructure we control. It does not sell or share your data with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. It is loaded only after you grant consent.

We use Google Consent Mode v2, which means analytics and marketing tags default to denied until you make a choice. You can review or change your choice at any time using the link in the footer of every page. You can also block cookies entirely in your browser settings; doing so may affect features such as the theme toggle.

Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser sends a GPC signal, we honor it as an opt-out for the analytics and marketing categories on this site.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:

  • Service providers — third-party vendors who help us operate our platform (e.g., hosting, analytics, email).
  • Marketing and communications platforms — we share Chrome extension prospect contact information (email, company domain, usage metrics) with email service providers to deliver product updates, lifecycle communications, and marketing messages. We do not share prospect data with third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes.
  • Legal requirements — when required by law, regulation, or legal process.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Specific retention periods include:

  • Waitlist and contact-form submissions — retained for up to 24 months from your last interaction with us, after which we delete or anonymize the records.
  • Chrome extension prospect data — if you connect HubSpot to our Chrome extension but do not create a kenbun account, we retain your prospect record for up to 24 months from your last extension activity. If you subsequently create a kenbun account, your prospect record is linked to your account for attribution purposes and retained under our standard customer data retention policy.
  • Customer data — retained for the duration of your relationship with us, plus any period required to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
  • Unsubscribe records — if you unsubscribe from marketing communications, we retain only the minimum information necessary to honor your unsubscribe request (email address and unsubscribe timestamp) indefinitely.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of your personal data.
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data.
  • Request data portability.
  • Withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@kenbun.com.

Unsubscribe from marketing communications — you can opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email we send, or by emailing privacy@kenbun.com. Unsubscribe requests are honored within 10 business days. We will continue to send you essential service communications (e.g., security notices or account updates) unless you close your account.

10. California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) provide you with additional rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to know — you may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources of that information, the business purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
  • Right to delete — you may request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Right to opt-out of sale or sharing — we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes. No opt-out is required.
  • Right to non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA/CPRA rights.
  • Right to correct — you may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — we do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CPRA.

To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@kenbun.com. We will verify your identity before fulfilling your request and respond within 45 days.

11. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe we may have collected information from a child under 16, please contact us at privacy@kenbun.com.

13. Chrome Extension (kenbun Tagger)

Our Chrome extension, kenbun Tagger, supports two modes of use that are governed by this policy in addition to the extension-specific disclosures:

  • HubSpot integration mode — if you connect HubSpot to the extension, we receive the data described in Section 2 ("Chrome extension and prospect data") and act as data controller for that information as described in Section 3. Importing LinkedIn contacts through the extension causes those contacts to be created in your own HubSpot portal; we do not retain copies of those contacts on our servers.
  • Kenbun-account mode — if you sign in to an existing kenbun account through the extension, the extension behaves as a client of your organization's kenbun workspace. Data flows to your organization's configured kenbun backend and is governed by your organization's agreements with us.
  • Optional third-party enrichment (BYOK) — you may configure the extension to call email enrichment services (such as Hunter.io, Apollo, or Dropcontact) using your own API credentials. When you do so, those requests are made directly from the extension to the provider you have selected; we do not intermediate or retain copies of the data exchanged. Your use of those services is governed by your agreement with the provider.

The extension stores authentication tokens, local preferences, and import history in your browser's Chrome storage APIs. For details about what the extension stores locally and what permissions it requests, see the extension-specific privacy policy available in the Chrome Web Store listing.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. For material changes that affect how we process data collected through our Chrome extension, we will additionally surface a notification in the extension itself on next launch.
